Boundary Disputes. What Can I Do?
Boundary disputes often occur due to strong views as to the ownership of a boundary line. They can also occur in party wall issues where the neighbouring property intends to construct an extension or carry out alteration works without a 1996 Party Wall Award. We are able to provide Party Wall Agreements for both parties and to resolve boundary disputes.
Client Z had a neighbour who constructed a two storey extension without a Party Wall Award and was in dispute. The neighbouring property owners would not carry out the agreed remedial work and when the neighbour came to sell his property he was unable to do so until a Party Wall Agreement had been reached. We acted on behalf of both parties to provide a suitable Award.
