Energy Legislation. How It Affects You!
Any residential or commercial property currently being sold or let will require an Energy Survey and Certificate, which is a requirement by Law. We are also able to carry out Display Energy Certificates for larger properties to ascertain the fuel consumption and advise on improvements to reduce this. In the future it is possible that a property's rate will be linked to the quality of the Energy Performance Certificate.
With regard to commercial properties there will be a greater emphasis on Green Leases where the Landlord and Tenant intend to enter a formal agreement to carry out efficiency improvements.
